The next meeting of the DeKalb County Board of Health is scheduled for Thursday, May 22, 2014, in the Bohan Auditorium, Richardson Health Center, 445 Winn Way, Decatur. The meeting will begin at 3:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Agenda items for the meeting are the presentation of and vote on the fiscal year 2015 (July 2014 – June 2015) budget, a vote on the agency’s strategic plan, a vote on purchasing an asset management software system, a director’s report, a financial status report and service pin presentations.

At its March 27, 2014, meeting, the Board voted to cancel its July 24, 2014, meeting. With the cancellation of the July meeting, a total of five meetings will be held in 2014. The Official Code of Georgia Annotated (2013) § 31-3-4 requires that boards of health meet at least quarterly. The next meeting will be Sept. 25, 2014.
