DECATUR, Ga. – This morning, DeKalb Public Health received lab confirmation of an additional mosquito surveillance trap testing positive for mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus (WNV).
The positive trap was stationed in the following ZIP Code:
- 30329 – Atlanta, Brookhaven, Chamblee, Unincorporated DeKalb (North Druid Hills)
To date this year, there have been no human cases of WNV infection confirmed in DeKalb County.
Inclusive of positive trap reports from August 17 and July 22, a total of seven (7) mosquito surveillance traps have tested positive in various areas of the county.
