Live Healthy DeKalb Coalition
The Live Healthy DeKalb coalition is a group of residents and representatives from nonprofits, health care providers and government agencies who work together for a healthier DeKalb. The focus is on reducing health disparities, increasing physical activity, improving nutrition, and reducing the use of tobacco products and exposure to secondhand smoke. The settings include communities, faith-based organizations, businesses and schools.
The coalition’s activities are:
- Helping to collect and use health data to design initiatives.
- Participating in a variety of chronic disease prevention efforts.
- Hosting networking meetings.
- Offering professional development workshops to members.
- Supporting members’ activities.
