DECATUR, Ga. – DeKalb Public Health received lab confirmation of an additional mosquito surveillance trap testing positive for mosquitoes carrying West Nile Virus (WNV).
The positive traps were stationed in the following ZIP Code:
• 30033 – Unincorporated DeKalb – North Decatur
• 30319 – Brookhaven
To date this year, there have been no human cases of WNV infection confirmed in DeKalb County.
Inclusive of previous positive trap reports from August 24, August 18, August 17 and July 22, a total of ten (10) mosquito surveillance traps have tested positive in various areas of the county.
